ARNOLD, Lawrence "Kelly"

Lawrence Edward “Kelly” Arnold, 76, 507 East Monroe Street, Williamsport, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, December 19, at Community Hospital in Williamsport.

  He had been a member of the Warren County Area Planning Committee and Board of Zoning Appeals. He was a construction worker for Warren County REMC for 30 years, retiring in 1970. He then worked as a custodian at the Warren County courthouse and was a crossing guard for Williamsport School.

  Born August 3, 1905 in Thorntown, he was the son of Frank and Noral Piatt Arnold. He married Flossie Snell on June 6, 1932 in Danville, Illinois, who survives. He had lived in Thorntown until 1940, when he moved to Williamsport.

  Other survivors include four sons, Leroy R. of rural Lafayette, Wayne A. of Williamsport, Lawrence E. Jr. of Covington, and Jeffrey F. with the U. S. Navy at Great Lakes, Illinois; three daughters, Bernadine VonCannon of St. Petersburg, Florida, Marilyn S. Scott of Tucson, Arizona, and Vanna Jo Ohm of Campbell, California; two brothers, Lloyd A. Arnold of St. Petersburg, Florida and Leonard Arnold of Franklin; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

  Services were conducted Tuesday, December 22, at Fisher Funeral Home in Williamsport with Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Williamsport.
